GFP Item Management Information

As part of the planned enhancements to The GFP Module, the ability for the contractor to update information about GFP is currently under development. This capability area is called "Item Management". The development effort also includes a new capabily which will enable requisitioning of items from the DoD Supply System. The “Item Management” and "Requisition" capability areas will be deployed in Nov 2023 with enhancements and additional functionality planned for deployment over the next several PIEE releases.

In Nov 2023, functionality will include the ability for contractors to:
- Report changes in condition code (including repair process reporting)
- Requisition GFP from the DoD Supply System (constrained by the GFP Attachment Requisition tab)

- Report when an item of GFP is embedded in another item

Furture functionality will include:

- Add Item Unique Identification to an item

- Report when a Part Number, National Stock Number, or Serial Number changes

Government personnel will have the role of Supply Planner which will provide access to queries and reports and will provide access to requisitions and requisition history.

Item change data will be transmitted to DoD Accountable Property Systems of Record when those systems establish routing parameters within PIEE. 

Training materials will be available and training sessions will conducted closer to capability deployment time.
